Our Fundraising Tactic
Road Warriors are Americans who run, walk, hike or bike 100 sponsored miles of open road anytime between Memorial Day and Veterans Day...to show support and raise money for our wounded warriors and their families...
WE DID IT! So far, we have $9,400 in donations from Road Warriors' sponsors and other donors. Thank you all! If you have already sent in your donations, Thank you! FANTASTIC JOB! If not, just click on the page "How to Donate" for all the info you need to make it final.
I'm outdoor obsessed. When I'm outside, I'm happy. I'm searching and finding...hawks, herons, coyote, faces in clouds, answers to prayers,
new ways to pump calories into backpack meals, the fix for my golf
swing. I launched my first blog roadwarriors2010 to invite people to log 100 miles of road time as a way to raise money for our American military heroes. We ended up raising $10,000 for Wounded Warrior Project and Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund. My first donation to Freedom Alliance came from the sale of my Mom's 1968 Mustang which had been housed in a hanger in Lemmon South Dakota for 25 years. The crazy part of the story is that I didn't know I had sold it to my Mom's nephew until I saw him drive up in a wind storm to haul it away. The car remains in the family and is driven down Main Street in Lemmon each July 4th and for the Lemmon High School reunion. My second blog is www.starry-river.blogspot.com...it's a special kind of travel journal.
